Name: Torrent Age: 4 years Foaling: No foals yet; perhaps in the futre Gender: Mare Breed: Arabian Height: 14.2 hands Appearance: Like many white Arabians, Torrent has an unpigmented skintone, and a pristine white coat. Both her mane and tail are kept at a medium/long length, with her mane just exceeding her neck and her tail laying a few inches above her hock. Torrent looks like a traditional Arabian, with a "dished" face and and arching neck. Her tail looks to be a few inches shorter since she naturally carries her tail high, resembling a flag. Black eyes finish off the mare, and when they hit the light they usually turn a medium brown color and flecks of gold become visable. She's considered a beauty to some, and average to others; but not once has she been called ugly. Alliance: No herd, so no alliances yet. Personality: She has an overall sweet demeanor, but she can also be a little spunky. Torrent's not one to show off and would rather sit quietly in the corner, however she does enjoy attention when it is recieved. She knows authority when she see's it, and respects those with a higher social ranking then her. The mare can be very stubborn in certain situations, and aggressive when something threatens those close to her, and especially her family. She can be a little headstrong, and independant, and while respecting authority, it doesn't mean that she'll go along with anything without putting her input in. Brief History: It's been roughly a year since Torrent got chased from her old herd, and she's been wandering ever since. You see, it all started with a wildfire. It consumed any foliage on the ground and used it for fuel, with the flames rising and moving closer the herd bolted from the meadow they were stationed at. They'd outrun the fire without much difficulty but then realised that their rather elderly lead stallion had vanished in the chaos. The herd broke up into countless other ones, mares went off with other stallions and only a few loyal to their previous stallion, and their foals remained, as winter rolled around, the lead mare (who'd taken leadership in place of her mate) realized that there were many mouths to feed, and not enough to eat. She deemed it best for those with foals to stay together for protection, and those without to find a new herd. At first, Torrent disagreed and was ultimately chased out of the herd. RP example: Torrent galloped through the lands. She knew where she was headed, where those who were herdless gathered. The air was alot warmer then it had been during the winter and instead of the biting cold, there was a humidity to the air now. As she ran, her tail flowed out behind her like a beacon, the white being a startling contrast against the blue sky; which had stayed fairly clear throughout the day. She paused in her run to take a breath of fresh air, glancing around the valley before her. With one last look back, she trotted forward, determined to change her life for the better.

Grey: A mixture of black and white hairs throughout. The coat varies from light to iron (very dark). The skin is dark.
Fleabitten Grey: Grey coat flecked with brown or red specks.
Dappled Grey: Light grey base coat with dark grey rings.
Bay: Reddish coat with black mane, tail and "points" (i.e. limbs). The coat colour may vary from red to brown or yellowish.
Black: All black except for occasional white marks on the legs and/or head.
Chestnut: Varies from pale golden colour to a rich, red gold. The mane and tail may be lighter or darker than the coat colour.
Liver Chestnut: The darkest of the chestnut shades.
Sorrel: A light-red chestnut.
Brown: A mixture of black and brown hairs, with black limbs, mane and tail. A very dark brown horse may appear almost black.
Roan: A body colour with white hairs interspersed, which lightens the overall effect.
Strawberry Roan: Chestnut body colour with white hair giving a pinkish-red tinge.
Blue Roan: Black or brown body colour with white hair giving a blue tinge.
Dun: Light sandy-coloured coat with black mane and tail, often accompanied by a dark, dorsal eel-stripe extending from the line of the neck to the tail, and sometimes by "zebra markings" (stripes) on the withers and legs - the vestiges of a primitive form of camouflage. Dun can vary from yellow to "mouse", depending on the diffusion of pigment. The skin is black.
Palomino: Gold coat with white mane and tail.
Spotted: Small, more or less circular patches of hair of a different colour from the main body colour and distributed over various areas of the body.
Piebald: Large, irregular patches of black and white.
Skewbald: Large, irregular patches of white and any other colour except black.
Cream: Cream-coloured coat with unpigmented skin (also known as cremello).
White: White hair with unpigmented (pink) skin.
Brindle: Brown or grey streaked or patched with a dark colour.
This is from the rules. White horses have light(pink) skin while Grey horses have dark(black) skin. Other then that everything is great. Just fix that and Torrent is a horse of Reyan.

I had missed this the first time I read through this, but reading it again, I found one more mistake you need to fix. Though she's already been accepted. That would be her height. Mistakes the one you made is a HUGE pet-peeve of mine. (Not trying to be mean or anything, but I see this a lot and it gets on my nerves every time. It's nothing against you!) 14.5 is not a real measurement on the hands scale, thought it is a very common mistake. In the decimal portion of the hands scale only goes up to .2, and that means half a hand. Horse breeders that know the hands scale will say literately say that a horse is, "Fourteen point two hands". Many others think that .5 is half, as it is with normal numbers, but that's not true in the hands scale. Half a hand is .2 and .1 is 1/4 a hand. Anything between half a hand and the next highest hand is simply rounded up to be the higher full hand. For example a horse that is 14 and 3/4 hands is considered to be 15 hands tall. Understand? Sorry about my rant, but misunderstanding of the hands scale is something that annoys me to no end.
