Name: Eden
Age: 4 Years
Foaling: Not in Foal
Gender: Mare
Breed: Clydesdale
Height: 16hh
Appearance: Eden looks as a horse of her breed should, powerful and rugged. She is muscular and stoutly built, though still showing her feminine side. Eden sports a coat of a lovely deep bay color. All four of her legs are painted with white and are heavily feathered, while a classic white blaze frames her face. She carries the sabino gene, so her underbelly is splashed with white, and she shows a bit of the paint markings on her neck as well. Her mane and tail are a rich dark brown of a classic bay, and her eyes are a warm chocolate color.
Alliance: Light
Personality: Looks can be deceiving. Though she appears powerful and like she could easily defend herself in a fight, Eden's personality is a submissive one. She is timid and skittish, and carries that sad, lonesome aura as any abused mare would. She is quiet and shy, and she has a tendency to look down upon herself for one reason or another. She is a bit pessimistic, and thinks that she is nothing special, that other mares are much better than herself. Break her out of her shell and Eden is a very sweet horse, she can be motherly and kind. She has a tendency to open up to other mares quicker than she would to a stallion. Her timidness of stallions and her history means she will be reluctant to breed.
Brief History: Eden was born to a Rouge mother, and she has never known her father. Just a few weeks after she was born, her mother abandoned her. Eden didn't know what to do with herself, she was scared and alone. She scrambled all over, looking for someone to take care of her. She even went to the homeless grounds at just 4 months of age, but being so young no one took her. Young Eden began to lose hope of finding sanctuary when a stallion, many years older than she, finally took her in when she was about a yearling. The poor girl was depressed and half-starved, and by time this stallion found her she was following random horses around like some lost puppy. He took her into his herd and took good care of her, and Eden gained her spirit, a boisterous and energetic one, just like all her age. Other mares in the herd began to warn Eden of the stallion, they warned her to leave and never come back, but she didn't listen to them. The stallion seemed too kindly to be capable of the things the other mares were telling her. But upon turning two she realized what the other mares had been telling her was true. The stallion, who she had originally thought to be so kind and caring, was in reality a dark and evil stallion who only took Eden in to eventually use her as a pawn for his own pleasure. Everything he did to her just succeeded in making her feel like she was lower than dirt. He constantly insulted and criticized her, he always was pushing her around and beating her, and may times he forced her to breed. Once the stallion succeeded in impregnating Eden, then when the foal was born, he killed it right before her eyes. Eventually the stallion grew bored with Eden and he threw her aside like trash. The mare took her opportunity and ran. She is hesitant about letting herself be claimed again, but she doesn't know what else to do.
RP example: The Clydesdale mare moved at a slow pace towards the Herdless grounds. Each stride she took showed the power her breeding had gifted her with, but also betrayed her timidness. Eden paused at the edges of Herdless Valley and her chocolate eyes scanned the area, gazing out at all of the other mares awaiting a claimer. She could still hear his cold, cruel voice echoing in her ear, Nothing, that's what you are. Nothing. Eden had come to believe the things he told her.
